Position Summary: The Certified Medical Technician (CMT) provides general administrative and clinical duties to our youth under the supervision of our Nurse Manager. The CMT will work one (1) or more twelve (12) hour shifts between Sunday and Saturday. Essential Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Administrative support within the department to include department mailings, filing, progress and discharge notes, etc. 2. Obtain past medical records as requested 3. Properly complete process of medication deliveries (medication received binder). 4. Manage distribution/receiving/scoring/date entry of ADHD forms 5. Maintain database and recording of funding sources as appropriate to clinical activities. This includes updating height/weight               (quarterly), psychiatrist visits, and medication in EASY. 6. Obtain an updated quarterly Diagnosis/Medication list for all day students. 7. Obtain consent renewals as needed for all day and residential students. 8. Assist in obtaining/completing prior authorizations/ refill notifications as indicated by pharmacy. 9. Obtain/ document monthly vital signs for youths 10. Assist in the process of distributing medications, and maintaining accurate documentation of medications and their            administration. 11. Assist in collecting and document drug screens. 12. Act as the liaison with staff in other departments, families, and outside agencies as appropriate. 13. Provide first-aid and nursing care, including proper documentation. 14. Any and all related duties as assigned. Qualifications: Valid Certified Medical Technician certification is required. Valid CPR and First-Aid certification required. Valid driver’s license required. Basic Computer skills (including word processing, internet, database) preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Experience with children/adolescents and/or psychiatry preferred.
